Congrats to Pat and Kate on the arrival of their little one, Simon Murray!
When I first got pregnant (but even before I knew I was pregnant), I started getting word that piles of my friends were expecting (some sooner than others). Friends from high school, friends from college, friends from the Wesley Foundation...lots of friends. Then, in April when we told everyone we were expecting, the announcements just stopped. It was as though the trend of getting pregnant was over, and right around the same time, the births started. The last of that herd of babies was born on Oct 1. So I guess that means we're officially "next".
Don't you know that every one of those eight couples total had a BOY. And that includes three couples that didn't find out until the baby was born! What are the odds? (1 in 256, right?)
So, congrats to Vanessa and Teg, to Erin, to Kelly and Brian, to Leanne and Kevin, to Kelly and Matt, to Laurie and Dan, to Kate and Pat, and to Sarah and Jared.
My very closest friends in Paris both had boys, as well...(a while ago, I'll grant)...but let's throw them in here, too....just because it's my website and I can do whatever I want... So let's hear it for Karen and Julien and Vickie and Emmanuel, too!
Anyway, since the herd of my friends' kids are officially all born...and all male...I thought it deserved at least a brief mention.
