squirmtastic

Claire has been going to bed at around 9pm for the last week or so, which fits nicely into our lives because it's late enough that Samy gets to spend some time with her, and yet early enough that after she goes to bed, we still have time to watch a little TV or half of a movie.

Tonight however, at nine o'clock, she was just getting started. She was in a great mood, smiling a lot, but not at all tired. I was trying to nurse her before putting her in bed and she was super-squirmy... I thought, maybe she's just hot in these PJs...so we went out on the terrace for a little while, to cool down. (This didn't work, because that just gave her a great view of the city lights to our south...) So we just let her hang out in our bed a while...

A second try at the feeding met with more and more squirming. I thought...well, maybe I just don't have enough milk for her right now (poor kid is SO ready to start real food). So I broke into the freezer stocks to give her a bottle. She took it, but continued to squirm and talk and smile...

Back to our bed to cuddle with Samy and I. We talk.

I realized that I had a coffee at 3:30.

Which means that Claire had a latte at around 8. Oops.

She finally crashed (and I mean CRASHED) at 10:30. I pray that this will translate into a good night of sleep, but I'm not banking on it...
