syrup

Claire is cutting her molars, and let me assure you that it's not a fun experience for any of us! She's been waking up more at night, and clearly in pain. I keep the "big guns" (tylenol and motrin) handy in her room, but I try to use homeopathic treatments when possible. Usually, this includes mixing a homeopathic teething gel in with her "toothpaste" when I brush her teeth at night. I also give her homeopathic "teething tablets" as needed. Both of these remedies have chamomile in them, among other ingredients.

Anyway, last night when I went in to comfort her after she cried out, I sat down in the glider to rock her a bit and decided to give her two teething tablets. I opened the little bottle and shook it to get them out. They didn't come, so I tapped it against my hand a bit. Imagine my surprise when they still didn't come tumbling out, but rather I started to realize that my hands were sticky with syrupy baby tylenol! It got all over me, and the glider...and apparently also on Claire's onesie. Of course, I didn't realize that it was on the onesie until I had already put her in her bed...which of course got tylenol all over the crib sheet!

Yuck. I changed her onesie and just brought her back to bed with me, violating the pact. :(
